Hello,
I used my Jimmy Johns app to order my favorite sandwich and was expecting freaky fast CURBSIDE service! I tipped 25% because Jimmy Johns is amazing and I always have great service.
I waited in my car for over 15 minutes before walking into the store to see what was going on with my order. I was parked right in front so I was watching the team while waiting and I saw them just sitting on the counter on their phone. When I walked in the order was just sitting on the pickup counter and they never marked that it was completed because I was tracking it the whole time. I asked the associate to refund my tip because I tipped for freaky fast service CURBSIDE service but he said he couldnt do it without his manager but that his manager would be back shortly and hed make sure he refunded it.
I went down the street and started eating my #15 CLUB TUNA, that wasnt cut in half like requested, but guess what? It had NO TUNA or AVOCADO which was an extra charge. I also asked for sliced pickles, mayo packets, and napkin but none of that was included either. Im used to them forgetting to cut the sandwich in half or include the napkins but Im literally appalled by the fact that an associate forgot the protein and the item that was an extra charge(avocado).
It gets worse. I went back to the store to get a refund and new sandwich but the manager immediately stated that they have no more bread then just looked at me dumbfounded as I presented my tuna-less/avocado-less sandwich explained what what was wrong! He didnt offer any solutions or apologies.They were just looking at me like I was speaking a foreign language! I had to ask for a refund, I had to ask if they knew who made the sandwich so they can address the issue with the employee, and I had to ask if they had already refunded my tip which they didnt because the associate said he had t told the manager yet.
When I got the order I saw 2 associates, both young boys Im assuming the one that the shorter boy made the sandwich because the taller one, with the purple beanie, that was on the register didnt move from the counter he was sitting at. When I came back to complain I saw the taller boy that was on the register, the manager and a female associate. The female associate showed the manager how to void the transaction and communicated with me that the total amount charged would be refunded and she stated that she knew who made my sandwich. She seemed to know more then the manager!
They had 4 people(friends) in the store and it seemed like they were hanging out waiting for the store to close so they can go out to party. It seems pretty convenient that they ran out of bread before 8pm on a Friday night and theyre supposed to close at 10pm. I honestly feel like they threw the bread out so they can leave early. Im really annoyed because I love Jimmy Johns and I know this situation doesnt reflect your culture.
This sandwich was my dinner before an overnight work shift and it was really disappointing that I couldnt eat what I was craving. If the manager/team had apologized and tried ANYTHING to make it right I wouldnt feel this way.

The last two orders we have placed with Jimmy Johns in Elgin, IL (50 S. Grove St) have had unacceptable delivery times.
One time, okay. Twice - unacceptable! The first order was placed on October 14th (#218413****244****) We placed the order at 12:29 p.m. and did not receive it until just before 2 p.m.
The second order, placed yesterday, November 18th, (#226546****890****) was placed at 1:04 p.m. and not delivered until 2:50 p.m.!! I called and was given an attitude that they're busy and the order is out with many others for delivery. I said I wish I would have been contacted as I have a senior who needs to eat with medicine.
(I took care of them) but I would have canceled or picked-up had I known. The response I received was there is no time to call people. Prior to these orders, we have been called as they canceled our order due to not having a delivery person.
That's $116.03 total between the two orders - I won't make that mistake again! Now we and our guests know Jimmy Johns is too busy for our business.

I worked at jimmy johns for 5 days and could not handle the abundance of abuse he dished out to me and all other employees. Including but not limited to verbal abuse, cussing discrimination.
Taking all the tips for himself. Yelling at his employees in front of customers. I personally received multiple complaints in 5 days. I think you should talk to the other employees who work at the Jimmy John's in Dickinson, North Dakota.
I know for a fact there is a couple of guys that work there. That would make better managment than Stephon . Also he paid me less then agreed apon in the interview. I wanted to take over the store and be the GM that it so desperately needs but i couldn't suffer threw his *** i thought you might want to be aware that he is single handedly running the store in to the grownd.
Its also definitely not up to helth code standards . But If you have any more questions feel free to call me.
