Jimmy Johns - Delivery guy ASKED for a tip.
I ordered a sandwich with chips and had it delivered to my work office. The last time I ordered it took way longer than usual, but I had already left a tip online when I placed the order.
This time I decided I would not tip because of my bad experience previously. When the delivery guy got here, he gave me my food and the credit card slip. I signed it and off he went... until he looked down and saw that I didn't leave a tip.
He then turned around and asked if I wanted to leave a tip. As a previous waitress I know to NEVER ask for a tip. Ever. It's common sense.
I had two opportunities to leave you a tip- once online when I placed the order and once when I signed the credit card slip. I would have left one if I wanted to. I was at work so I kindly wrote down a $1 tip for my $8 order and he left. I looked in the bag and there were no napkins.
I was already furious about him asking for a tip and then no napkins. If I was at home rather than at work I would have given him a piece of my mind. I am in no way obligated to leave you a tip.
How dare you ask. How inappropriate and unprofessional.
Reason of review: Problem with delivery.

This lady is ridiculous lmao. Get a life.
You really had to rant on some random website about this? Do you feel better now?????
Wow you're a piece of *** Taking out your anger on some random Jimmy Johns employee that had nothing to do with your last order. Pathetic really
Yeah if you don't tip your an *** Also no napkins is because jimmy johns tells their employees not to bag them unless requested.
Its common sense to always tip.
Honey, you can't spare a "piece of your mind". You need every little bit you got!
Do you have any clue how ridiculous you are? You stiffed an innocent guy because of a perceived mistake A DIFFERENT PERSON previously made?
Wherever you worked when you wrote this drivel, i bet you didn't last long. And I bet as a waitress, you made lousy tips!
Your a piece of *** Tip the guy. Did it slip your mind that he's working too?
And you know what on driver salary , 5.00$ an hour, They really depend on them tips to make up for the low hourly wage.
For the record 99% of the time it is not the drivers fault your order was late..... POS.
So, if I have bad service at your restaurant once, the next time I go, I shouldn't tip you? Okay, I'll keep that in mind. Really though, this review can't be real.
I wouldn't give you napkins either.
Why would you punish that driver for a previous driver's poor service?
I was asking myself the same question. That seemed odd since she stated she was a previous waitress.
Well why would you punish someone else for your previous bad experience.
If the cook messed up my food I shouldn't tip the waitress? Your thinking is wrong and the government assumes people who are able to get tipped are .
That's why they are paid under minimum wage. Also if pizza takes an hour to come to you and you tip them but Jimmy Johns guy takes 20 instead of 10.
Then you complain about delivery time and don't tip. Wow could go on but I think I have given you enough Tips on this subject
Seriously? You should also know as an ex waitress that just because your experience was bad before you shouldn't punish the next person you have.
That's like saying, oh I was forced to pay 18% gratuity when I was with a bunch of people.. That's more than I wanted to tip.
So I'm not going to tip the person that waits on me next time. What kind of *** logic is that?
What a *** you are! If you order again, I hope they tell you to get off your fatazz and pick it up yourself.
Your whats wrong with the world today. Why order a delivery item an not tip? Just go get it yourself next time ***
You are not a nice person. How dare you punish the delivery guy for a previous bad experience. You should be ashamed of yourself.
If you were really a waitress you would never stiff someone. Clearly, you have never worked for tips, It is not always the drivers fault if the order is late.
Just like its not the servers fault if the kitchen messed up. Get a grip cheap skate
You so-called 'servers' and ' delivery drivers' need to get over yourselves. If you don't like the fact that you're not getting tipped on account of the previous service then GET A REAL *** JOB!
Hire me for one.
Also, I assume you never bother to order food delivery, or eat at restaurants where you're served by a waiter or waitress? Because if everyone was able to get jobs outside of the service industry, you'd never have the option to.
I was a "so-called server" so I could put myself through college. Serving is a real job, it involves doing real work and paying real taxes!
Most people have some human grace and tipped for my services rendered, so my real tips, paid for in real money, paid my real bills.
I enjoyed waiting tables except when it came to dealing with marginal (at best) humans like you.
Jimmy John's does not give napkins with delivery orders unless you ask, and you didn't mention asking for napkins in your post. They're not mind readers.
